neighborhood
I live in a big city in the eastern part of the U.S. Like most big cities we have our problems. In my neighborhood we have shootings, drugs, and who knows what else. I grew up here and after many years away I am back and worried about what I see happening to the place I love.
People need to feel safe. We aren't rich. Most of us just scrape by. We can't afford to move . I want the children to be able to play and not worry about stray bullets. I want older adults to feel safe walking to the corner store or waiting for a bus.
I try to connect with everyone I see when I walk to get a bus or just take a walk.
We have to do that. We have to treat each other better than we have in the past
I feel that is the only way to save our city. Reaching out is one way I can do it . It doesn't cost me a cent. |
